Where are you coming from? Woodbridge Why are you moving? For work. Where will you be working? Tarrytown, NY. Will you buy or rent? Either is fine, budget is $1,800 rent or $570k buy. Will anyone be living with you? No I live alone. Do you want/need good public schools? No.
I found a job in Tarrytown, and I'm looking for a place to live nearby within New Jersey, as I am not leaving the state for reasons I don't wanna get into. What's the best place for a 31-year-old working in HR? To clarify I'm looking at the northeast corner of Bergen County; Alpine, Norwood, etc. Any thoughts?
Westwood, Hillsdale, Washington Township, southern part of River Vale, and Emerson all have houses and townhouses in your price range. Westwood has a large choice of rental apts. These towns are a little further than Norwood/Northvale from Tarrytown, but there might be better choices for your needs. Westwood has a nice downtown with quite a few decent restaurants and bars. All these other towns surround Westwood.
Mahwah, you can get a 3BR townhome for 389k and is 25 min commute to Tarrytown, NY
