Hello everyone. I am new to this forum. I found a used 2015 Lexus in Ocean City, NJ that I would like to buy. I would appreciate if anyone recommends a trusted mechanic for pre-purchase car inspection in Ocean City, NJ. Thank you everyone and have a good one.

I used to go to Weisenthals which is the Sunoco on the corner of 9th and West. I trusted them and they always did a good job. I moved 4 years ago so hopefully they’re still there!
Oh that sucks! I hate change, lol. Sorry OP, they were the only ones I went to in OC because there was a great mechanic a block from where I worked in Gloucester County.
Reading that article makes me mad. 51 years at that location and they lose their lease because a big bank wanted it. Another small business goes away to accommodate a gadjlion dollar corporation.
It’s a pretty tiny bank actually. And it doesn’t sound like the owners were that motivated to stay in business if they didn’t move their business to a new location.

Where were they supposed to find a grease pit and a lift?

They tried to get a new location both in Ocean City and also in Marmora and were unable to find anything suitable/affordable. Per the article linked. They probably had a good deal there because they were there for so many decades, and a new location was most likely insanely expensive now.
"Prior to announcing their business would close, the Wiesenthal brothers attempted to find a suitable location to move it. When it became clear that couldn’t happen, they also looked off-shore in the Marmora section of Upper Township, also without success."
It's the town and people who suffer. That's the 4th gas station to close on 9th street in the past decade, I think there's only one left now at that end of town. The loss of a repair shop hurts, too. I loved that I could drop my car off there and walk home. I just find it sad that another small business goes under after 73 years in OC. I watched so many places go that had been there for many decades, over 18 years living there, from Knight's Pharmacy to the little NAPA auto parts store to my awesome gym to Campbell's Seafood Kitchen.
They are being replaced more and more with chains, because they can afford the exorbitant rents. 2 Starbucks there now, as well as Dominos on Asbury Ave. Half the small businesses in OC could probably never open if they had to do it today.
