I started this thread since there are announcements about the COVID-19 vaccine availability. I wanted to know people's experiences of where they got them and how long did you have to wait. I saw on the news in another state (don't recall which) people waited up to 5 hours. This is New Jersey, so I know people can't tolerate if more than two people are ahead of them at a cash register. So hopefully the wait won't be that long.

There are walk-up lines that are hours long with people that don't have appointments, but my experience with an appointment was fine. I had an appointment at the Rowan mega-site and it took about 30 minutes including the 15 minute post-vaccination observation time. The long hours-long lines here are people without appointments who are hoping to get vaccinated anyway. They can't do that until all the people with appointments have gone and they know what is left over. Maybe that's the case in other states too. There was little to no standing still in line, although there were people ahead of me. We were kept moving, to various checkpoints to have our paper scanned, till we got to the vaccination area (it was a good deal of walking). After the vaccination you have to wait in an observation area for 15 minutes, but that is seated. It seemed pretty efficient to me. National Guard seemed in charge of everything except the actual shots.
They closed for a day, no vaccine available. East Rutherford may have closed for a short time. Not surprised as there are huge problems with availability. Wakefern has stopped taking appointments.
There's waiting times all over the country. Pretty simple concept, supply and demand. 100's of millions of people want 10's of millions of vaccines.
