We would probably end up Massachusetts. My honey is from there and still misses it. I'd be upset with the cold though!
Same with the President. But yet people still claim if so and so gets elected I'm moving out of the country, but they never do.

Yes, but it can't be denied...people move out of this state all the time, seeking shelter from the absurd taxes.

As a person who spends a lot of time in Canada, I get a kick out of the ones who declare that they are going to move there, as if Canada just lets anyone move in.

You can visit, but you will only get to move there if you can demonstrate that you have something to offer Canada.

I don't think that Canada wants me even though I know how to seriously knit. Years ago my spinning class was disrupted. That never happened.

You should log off the internet for a bit, champ.

Jim Ignatowski comes to mind when he posts things like that.

I always get a chuckle out of those posts. I guess some people think you can hop on a plane, go to a foreign country and just stay there and live your life. No regard for immigration laws.

For us it will be Florida for sure. In fact, we've already purchased a home there and are going to rent it until I retire in two years. We partnered with a property manager there and already have a renter for mid Jan. through mid April and possibly longer. We are very excited to make this our permanent home in a couple of years. Can't wait to say goodbye to cold and snow forever, not to mention we'll be enjoying a lower cost of living. Also, no tax on pensions so that is terrific.

And yes, we've spent quite a bit of time in Florida over the years so we're not going into this blindly. We have friends on the Gulf coast and family in the Keys. Will we miss certain things about NJ?? Of course, but that's why airplanes were invented. Additionally, I'm sure people from up North will want to come down during the winter so it won't be us doing all the traveling.

Overall, I feel we have a well thought out retirement plan and can't wait to put it into action.
