Seems like NJT is trying to get people to buy more tickets. They have their new flexpass option. 20 one way tickets at a 20% discount. Sounds good, just wonder if the restrictions are worth it. They expire after 30 days, so I guess it is only really good for people doing 10 or so days into the city Looks like they are scared people would share them so they are tied to one device. Also, I am someone that takes/use to take the bus into the city and the train home. I would buy a train pass and it was good on both. The train pass was slightly more than the bus, but worth it. Now it seems that the bus is more expensive than the train. Not sure if the ticket is good on either method or not. Anyone us this yet? Any experiences to share?

From Westfield (got confused at some point, think numbers are right, who knows)

$270 for 22 round trips (monthly), good for bus too
$270 for 15 round trips (one way), can buy one way bus if needed
$248 for 3 weeks (weekly), good for bus too
$148 for 10 round trips. (Flex), bus? Expire 30 days, $156 for bus
$180 for 10 round trips, no expire, can buy bus separate

Also to add for bus specifically it is, $83.50 for 10 one-way bus tickets (buying them full-price is $9.75 each one, $97.50 for a pack of ten, $195 for a pack of twenty). The Flex Pass would reduce that to $156.

I finally heard back from NJT (they are pretty good with responses), the train flex pass is only good on the train. So total waste for most people on the first 4 or 5 stops on the RVL
