My son and and a couple of his friends once met a guy and his wife down there who were visiting from Berlin, Germany. He needed to travel to NYC a couple of times a year for meetings. He said that he always took some vacation time when here to explore our wilderness. He'd been to the Adirondacks a few times.

That is an excellent point, so any forum members who are 122 years of age--or more--should be excused if they make a mistake with the name of Toms River.

I'm willing to excuse everyone who had a parent or grandparent who told or taught them to use an apostrophe. My mother was from England. I had gray/grey confusion until I was about nine years old.
