no. plainfield, new jersey has high taxes, an impoverished downtown, but has the sleepy hollow and central avenue districts with oppulent homes that would be considered appropriate for an upscale magazine. the public school system is marginal at best, so that anyone in their right mind who has the resources to do so, including the utilization of scholarships, utilizes private or parochial schools in the area, or pays extra to utilize the school system in south plainfield, north plainfield, or edison.
