I know it has been said "Its how you drive the car" and while I agree, I'm not too keen of BORED COPS, they don't really need a reason to pull you over but why give them one. (Chances are you're the only car on the road with a custom plate.)
I'm split on it. I'm going back and forth.

"Random plate check" (I've had that given as a reason I was pulled)
Your car "caught my eye" (they usually dont tell you that, at least not at first)
You were the only car on the road ("What's the problem with the speed today?")
NJ you can only sign it from one vehicle to another.
Not someone's name to another person's name.
Yeah, the person that owns the vanity plate has to be listed on the vehicles registration or you can't use it. It stinks they wouldn't let me transfer the custom plate to his name.

I have to spread some reputation before giving it to you again, but.. Yes, Indeed.
A part of me wants to get it, but I drive all over the country and I really do think SOME cop (read: Indiana) will figure that "too fancy" and same as Montgomery County Ohio, yeah, sometimes they really do sit on the Interstate and just drive behind you for 15 miles or more.....
Even if they stop at the County line.. it's pretty much harassment, if you ask me? It takes about 2 seconds for them to read a plate, and if anything is out of order, it is on their screen.. Instantly or almost instantly.
So, again.. I read these stories about "I've never been stopped in 20 years except for one time" and you can usually figure in that fancy schmancy plate may have met the disapproval of your Overseers. (Police)

Although, on a serious note.. pleasantly surprised with the amount of Pats/Sox fans in CNJ/Southern NNJ. Especially in under 25 y/os. I may be in the clear.
