Hi , My wife is currently expecting our second son. Our first is 6 and is mainstreemed special ed in K but I feel he may be mainstreamed within a couple of years. I currently live in Wharton and am looking for a town to move to. My wife works in Cranford so I have searched and have found a couple of homes we may afford. I was wondering what people thought of South Plainfield.

Thanks,

The people that I know in South Plainfield are very happy there. It is a very family friendly and community spirited town.

South Plainfield is a nice town. Like the above poster said, it's very family-oriented so it would be a good place to raise a child. I'd definitely consider it.

I grew up in S. Plainfield and it is a very safe, family oriented town - not sure if the school has a lot of special programs but I am sure it must these days.

Thumbs up How is South Plainfield to raise a child

In response to romedog99 and anyone intrested in South Plainfield, I've lived in So. Plainfield for 11 years, have two boys and we love it, I have lived in 3 different sections of So. Plainfield and love them all (I refuse to move out ). It is a very safe, family oriented town, my son has attened two of the elementary schools and they have been both fantastic, teacher/child ratio small. My second son will start school in the fall and he is looking forward to it.

In response to another post, no town is 100% safe, but don't worry you can park your BMW, Lexus, Mercedez on the street and nothing will happen to it .

South Plainfield is great - I used to go there all the time, had friends who went to Bishop Ahr, lived in South Plainfield. One had some great backyard bbq's with some real space back there, always a great time at her house
