Hi Fellow Posters,

Just wanted to know how condo associations work for condo conversions with few (4-8 units). Does every owner of the unit have a say? Who is managing these units?

I'm considering purchasing a condo conversion and want all those facts before I get my hair wet.

Thanks everyone!

If it's already been converted, there should be a set of HOA guidelines that will spell out exactly how the HOA is governed. With such a small # of units, its hard to say how they're going to set that up.

Thanks the info Bob. I know there are a lot of these smaller condo conversions in Jersey City. Can anyone tell me how it works first hand?
Thanks!

I have a similar question, I found a place that is in the process of selling units, but I would be the 2nd owner in the building. So far only 1 unit has sold & 2 are up for sale. The rest are still rented.
