Our landlord was supposed to air out our pipes last Friday, but never showed up. We are hoping to get in touch with him today to find out the status of getting our heat ready. However, was wondering if there was any State hotline or way to report him, if he keeps dragging his feet? It has been getting a little cold at night and will be much worse by midweek. It seems every year this happens.

Is anyone else getting a chuckle out of a guy who constantly rants about government overreach wanting to report his landlord to "the state" for not turning on the heat soon enough?

Swamp Yankee, having No Heat is actually a more important issue for Government to oversee. Think. Oh wait, your statement shows you are either dense or very slow. Get help. You seem like a typical rude libturd.

Me.
And it’s been a while 3 days!
No one is allowed to be sick, have scheduling issues or whatever that delays service calls for this guy.

Having no heat only has a .02% mortality rate.

Incorrect, you are confusing that with COVID stats

No one here is at all confused.
We understand you perfectly.

If someone has a scheduling issue, then that should have been communicated to myself (tenant). But I am sure you are one of those people who leave people hanging all the time too. I can tell simply from your attitude.

It's honestly not. When you rent you sign a lease which is essentially a contract between you and the landlord which lays out what you get in exchange for the rent you pay. If you don't pay your rent, your landlord has certain remedies available to him, and if your landlord doesn't supply what is provided for in the lease, you have certain remedies available to you. Pretty simple free market economics.

I don't follow or cheer for either team. I just do my own thing. I am a strong believer in self sufficiency though-I supply my own heat:

If you were my customer, I would be very very tempted. I’d leave you hanging every time. Just because.
Something to think about.
