Danny is correct. Also, I can tell you for sure that in Hoboken, the Ugly Irishman and Pig and Parrot are proud Republican owned bars. Just avoid on a Fri or Sat night after 9pm when they get packed by amateur 21 yr olds
I've always been thrown off by one of Pig n Parrot's displays on the wall. It's a full driver's side police cruiser door (I believe Newark police), but then has a gigantic pig's head coming out through it. Doesn't seem pro-law enforcement lol

Some cops take the pig as a sense of pride. I remember seeing a catalogue of stuff for cops once, and there were pig handcuffs, pig mugs, etc.
Never bothered me, whether an insult or as an ironic joke. But I'm the type who slapped ACAB on the side of my jetski to honor the protestors who bought it for me.
I mean it's pretty tough not to love and cherish even those who hate you when in only 3 weeks they created enough overtime for me to buy THE top model stock ski available (in cash) and retire 8 years early.

I had to look up ACAB, but that's pretty funny. Enjoy your jetski.
Thank you. Two summers now, it's such a blast. I hit 72-73mph on good days on the Raritan River.
It's the truth too. I was planning to work at least 8 more years prior to the summer of riots. When it died down, I realized that my pension numbers had skyrocketed. I offered to stay through the end of the year if my boss let me take every friday and Wednesday off but he said no so I ran ALL my time instead, making it from 7/24 to 10/31.

There is another nearby bar in Hoboken that actually has a statue of Robert E. Lee.
Funny thing is I doubt most people even notice. There is another bar in Manhattan with CD jukeboxes that have confederate flags on the covers. (Mainly Skynyrd and Hank Jr CDs). People would be surprised when paying attention to small details at some bars. Many places make it very clear where they stand politically, without exactly blurting it out. Personally it doesn't effect me either way. I've also been to many bars that have rainbow flags, yet they do not consider themselves "gay bars".

The Robert E. Lee statue in a bar seems a bit absurd to me. I mean, really? I could only think that bar owner is trolling.
Lynyrd Skynyrd album covers with confederate flags in a jukebox doesn’t mean anything political. I wouldn’t read too much into that at all about what the bar owner’s politics are.
Really? Wait. Hold up. I've lived in Hoboken for more than 10 years, and have spent time in nearly every damned bar in town. This is new to me.
I was at that particular bar last Friday. The statue is still there, but very easy to miss because it is off to the side.
