Oh, forgot to mention that I lived in ridgewood in the 1970's things were crazy during that time, hippies, pot, etc.
I checked the house we previously owned, in the $1,500,000 range, taxes are upwards of $35,000.00. that was a "fairly tale" and I did not realize it. went from Ridgewood (wood) to the "hood" Paterson NJ LOL was the only old anglo lady, in town, but I like it for 25 + years walkability, not at night, walked to work (local architectural firm) since gone, did not want to commute to work.
Another question if anyone may have the answer! Is there a good side of town vs bad in HHK? Or better area?
I can't for the life of me recall ever heading this... just curious what prompted you to ask?
I suppose I wouldnt want to live on one of the streets w/ Rt .17 in my back yard, or directly on franklin turnpike, but thats all I can really think of.

Not sure why it never posted my response. I asked because I know in other areas there's a good vs "bad" side, which probably isn't so bad all things considered, but you wouldn't choose to live there knowingly. Or areas like a Fair Lawn which borders Paterson, so some parts of Fair Lawn maybe aren't as safe, or maybe that's untrue.
I think you'll be fine wherever you landed. Did you get your house??
