i am the TV cheapee.

Internet + broadcast basic is $63 should not require any box. This is TRULY basic like 2, 4, 5, 7 9 11, 12 NJN news, 13. Maybe 1 or 2 more. People make fun of us for having this service.

Now, we have the slowest FIOS internet and it is faster and more reliable and cheaper than optimum online, and no cable at all. FIOS TV sounds like a deal until you start adding on any options any normal person would want. For us we have Tivo + NetFlix for $30 a month. I cant stand not being able to pause/rewind TV. Plus I don't need to think about watching anything when it's on, and we never do.

We get a bunch of HD channels over the air which I don't bother watching because we have Tivo (analog). The only thing that is nice about that is we can watch HD live TV while taping something else on Tivo. Sometime in 2009 I think, over the air analog is going away so then we will get the digital Tivo.
