i watched the whole thing. great game.

unfortunately, hockey's still basically a niche sport in the u.s. so the ratings for the finals aren't going to be as high as the nba in most u.s. markets outside of detroit and pittsburgh.

Loved the game - nothing better in sports than OT playoff hockey, especially with the Cup on the line.

Game 6 in '00 - Arnott's goal - is still one of the best games I've seen.

And, to have the greatest play by play announcer in sports doing the game - Doc Emrick - makes it that much better...

I would say a game that rose to the level of the Arnott game was the 1994 game 7 Eastern Conference final, the imfamous Stephane Matteau game, where Zelepukin got the goal with 7.7 seconds left to force OT, followed closely by the game 6 the following year against the Flyers, when Claude Lemeiux scored from just outside the blue line with under a minute left to break the tie, and send the Devils to the finals against Detroit.

I am a huge Devils fan and my husband is an Islanders fan and we stayed up and watched it. We had a rough day at work the next day.

I am a Flyers fan and I watched it-the whole thing. Good game. Go Detroit! I have also been enjoying Don Cherry on the post game on ESPN. Usually once the playoffs come- I usually lose Don since the hockey package is over and thus no more Hockey Night in Canada.
