I have lived in both northern bergen county and southern bergen county. I prefer southern bergen county because the people aren't as uppity and annoying. Ridgewood has fierce competition with kids and neighbors and it is totally ridiculous. The mothers are uptight and helicoptorish and their kids are coddled and high maintenance. southern bergen county gets my vote on that alone, I just find that the people in southern bc are nicer and more down to earth...but it never used to be this way. Years ago northern bc was down to earth working class folks and southern bc was just white trash. Then something happened (not sure what) but the generation x of southern BC became like northern BC and the northern BC generation x just became uppity and annoying. just my .02
Ditto, interesting read. I only moved to Bergen County last September so I'm still learning. I live in Northern Bergen so obviously prefer it, but can see there being pros and cons to both. Keep discussing people, lets revive this thread.
The schools must not be too great if the people there use words like richiest

Oh pardon me, sir rural_urban my phone tends to mispell words. Had I known you were the spell check police, I would have been more careful. At least you understood what I meant.
Sorry, I guess you're not from northern bergen. (Yikes! that explains it)
