My son is 6weeks old and we're looking for a good day care in Montclair/Clifton area. Hopefully when he is 2+months old. Does anyone have any recommendations? Also does anyone have an idea of the cost per day or per week? Any information is appreciated.

I don't know of any daycare centers in those towns. If you work or if on your commute you pass a Rainbow Academy, maybe in Rutherford, I highly recommend them.
The centers are beautiful, clean, secure and staffed with very loving people. You can even watch your child during the day are home or work via their secure parentview site.
You can also do a virtual tour at Rainbow Academy – A Family of Child Care Centers I'm sorry I don't know the price off hand but you can call or email them for information.
I worked in one of the Rainbow Academy centers for years and am very proud of the services they provide.
Good luck!

That's a very harsh & judgemental approach "truth"speaker. REALITY in Norhtern NJ means people have to work. Since disability runs out at 6 weeks, so does a lot of folks EATING and having a ROOF over their head if they don't return to work. So unless you want to help pay OP's bills, I think it would be nice to offer valid assitance to her or refrain from speaking.
That said....
OP - where do you work? Does it need to be IN Montclair/Clifton or can it be in an area en route to your job. Also, what is the most that you can afford per month. Provide that info and I'll see how we can help you out.

I imagine the OP is gone but I hope wasn't scared off by judgmental posts.
OP if you are still here there are lots of great people with thoughtful ideas on this board.

My son went to Mickey 4 years ago when when we lived in Clifton for 2 months and I took him out. DO NOT SEND YOUR KID THERE!!!!! To many kids and not enough teachers. I have more but would rather not get into it. Someone told me about The Cifton Little School on broad street. It was a brand new building, teachers were awesome, friendly and so were the parents. Good luck with your search, I know it's hard finding a good daycare.
