Having issues due to having a new direct vent heating system installed? Did they vent for fresh air intake or are you using air from the basement?

I am finishing the basement.
Dryer, Boiler and furnace are in same area, so need combustion air supply.
Doing just a duct (4 inct) or so will mean lot of draft in winters.

Need some suggestion or a contractor who can suggest a well suited system. Have small kids so do not need any negative reversal...

Furnace still have life, about 15 yrs old so do not want to change that, unless no other option.

Do you think HD or Lowes do this....

Yes, I am a handy guy. I am located in edison. I have 3 concrete wall around and one non load bearing wall.

This is the structure

Upper, Left and Right are Concrete wall
B oiler
D ryer
F urnace
X Non Load bearing wall

Concrete Wall
------------
B -------
D F ----
XXXXXXXXX
Non load bearing wall

Can you give an idea what to do. I can put a metal louvre door on Non-load bearing wall, that will server the purpose for the nj building code, as this room will be un-confined. But, it's still not suffient air supply, becuase the air is coming from inside the house.

I found this great do it yourself article with photos online. Let me know if it looks simple enough or not. Furnace Combustion Air
