Smoke and mirrors...think about it. What affects your life more directly-an illegal alien pumping your gas or the price of the gas? The illegal alien mowing the neighbor's lawn or the fact that your neighbor used work at a factory that just moved to China? Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain...

Hey this thread has about run it's course....nice that even though the subject is heated and posters are on different sides of the fence on issue we debated with a 'We agree to disagree" attitude and it didn't turn nasty

I think you're misunderstanding. The Lou Dobbs and Donald Cresitellos of the world are the ones saying "pay no attention..." We cry and whine and blame illegal immigrants for everything under the sun, yet we've got much bigger fish to fry. China now manufactures EVERYTHING. Fuel prices are approaching absurdity. The American dollar is becoming about as useful as the peso. Where is the outrage? I'll tell you where-it's directed at illegal immigrants. The "man behind the curtain" analogy was to call attention to the slight of hand the corporate America and the government are all too happy to perpetrate on us.
