Moved from Jersey to here in Florida 3 years ago. They sell fireworks all over....even in the food stores here. Plus they set up tents selling them all over down here near the strip malls about a week before the 4th. You can buy any kind of fireworks you want. Jersey is toooo strict. Down here people have their cars wrapped....that means photo tints on their auto windows all around the car! Pros do it to advertise their business...looks cool! Jersey would never allow it...you would be pulled over with a ticket in a second....also down here you can drop a boat in any lake and park your car or truck there.....no permit needed! Will never move back to Jersey with all those strict rules.

I heard that fireworks are allowed in Florida. Where else in the country is it allowed? How come not in NJ? This sucks! Just allow it for New Year's Eve but have age limit of 18 or 21! It's parents decision to allow their kids to use fireworks or not.

Well this parent does not need the government to tell her what is or isn't "stupid".
I understand your sentiment, though. There certainly are parents who let their children do foolish things. However, you should think twice before you say the government should dictate how we handle our very own kids.
Letting children set off some firecrackers is not exactly child abuse.
