I saw a great townhouse there at West Orange, beautiful and nice value.
But my only concerns are the safety and the tax which is hight, about 2.5%, right? for west orange?

How is the safety around there? I drove through there, looks like a crappy area, bad lawn. This area is for poor people?

Well, ummm...it's not exactly Rodeo Drive! I lived right down from the Highland Avenue Station on Freeman Street for two years while I was in college. Not the best neighborhood but not the worst. It's kind of a lower middle class area sandwiched in between an upper middle class area (Scotland Road/Vose Avenue in South Orange) and a working class area (Main Street/Mount Pleasant Avenue in West Orange)-I had my car broken into once there, but never had a problem.
