LOL - I think Hoboken is a decent choice...don't know about #1 in the country, but in the state, I can see it. Now Newark & East Oragne are another story.
"It's known as the "Crossroads of New Jersey," and it's a great place for singles to cross paths. With Elmwood and Soverel park activities, local tennis courts and plenty of community and local library events, East Orange has plenty of ways to meet up."
Oh yeah, I think of several ways to meet up in East Orange. Most of them involve $$.

And Protection!
Cue the music:
"In Appleblossom time in Orange New Jersey, we'll make a peach of a pair"!
Why is Newark such a shocker? Illegals, welfare cases and crackho's are single too! There's nothing in that article saying that you're going to find high-quality singles there- just that percentage-wise Newark has a high number of single folks, right?
And just look at some the stats on the detail page- an average income of $40/year vs the national "best places" average of $90k- a top-notch education system that produces reading test scores at 22% below the average- a whopping 34% completed some college vs the average of 74%! All you single folks oughta be spending more time in Newark- otherwise Mr/Mrs Right may just pass you by........lol
