Hi all,

I currently live in Bergenfield where we're accessible to everything including great doctors and hospitals but are overwhelmed with taxes and high home prices. I'm looking to move, anywhere really, that I can afford (250-300max), has as good or better health care system in pediatrics within a 5-10 mile distance, great schools and family-friendly neighborhood. I've found that I can get affordable houses and good schools but no hospital, or a good hospital and good schools but pricey homes. I need the best of all worlds because my children require frequent medical attention and the good specialists are only where the good hospitals are. Any help/suggestions I could look into would be great! Thanks

Depending on how serious the medical care you need is....

You could do a townhouse or a condo in Metuchen. You would have great schools, the YMCA, Menlo Park, restaurants and JFK hospital in Edison very close.

Areas around Hackettstown. There's a townhouse complex in Washington Twp. - Morris Couty which is just outside of hackettstown and the schools systems are great. There's complexes in Independence and Allamuchy in your price range as well. All close to Adventist Hospital which is supposed to be a very good pediatric Hospital. I'll see what I can find in your price range for you...or you can search yourself on gsmls.com. Independence and Allamuchy fall under Warren Co.

I use to own one of these townhouses in this community. Literally right behind the hospital! Newer development. This one is going for 219K and the taxes are 4793/yr. It's in Independecne Twp. but falls under a Hackettstown Mailing Address. Great, affordable area of NW NJ:
