I loved the 80's as well! We must be close in age then . Tight straight legged blue jeans... high top reboks...flourescent colored shirts..big jersey hair! hanging out at the lighthouse in Hopatcong...going to see the "Watch" at that place in randolph (name escapes me). I want to have an 80's party! Hire a DJ to play all those great dance songs we used to dance to.."moanie, moanie"... pointing while the music played and accidentally poking your friends eye out on the dance floor! Ahhh..the good old days!

I hope so, we could use it. It keeps changing every three hours or so, if Hanna veers more east up the coast me might not get anything.

SO DID I! LOL!

I was thinking "The 90's didn't have a true style (nor do the '00's). Not like the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's." LOL

You rock. Wiley! Aaaah....the memories!
Does anyone remember the band, "The Nerds"? the bass player was my landlord in North Bergen in the late 80's.

Shanny

OMG!

I LOVED the NERDS! First time I saw them was at Wurlitzer's back in the 90's (keeping the topic of 90's, which I too thought was about the decade and not the crazy temp) What a blast from the past!

Finally, beach weather and they are free now. Crowds gone and the water temp in the 70's. This is my favorite month. I'm on vacation and the beach was gorgeous yesterday. No 30 dollars to park your car you pull right up grab the cooler, beach chair and towel and your good to go. Don't tell anyone I don't like kids kicking sand in my face. Keep that pool open Wiley.

YES! I loved The Nerds too! Aren't they still around? I saw them a bunch down the shore (LBI - Joe Pops) and at CGI's (Cedar Grove Inn). They were really good.

I haven't thought of them in a long time..thanks for the memory Shanny!

I found their website - still going strong!

The Official Homepage of The Nerds (http://www.the-nerds.com/about.htm - broken link)
