ok, ok...it's not that bad : ) It's just that I can see his backyard now from my pool and the other neighbor's yard as well. I just keep hanging out on the deck staring at them...figure it will eventually make them uncomfortable and he'll get that damn berm with trees up ASAP : )

Wiley,
If he took trees down on your land, first talk to him, and if that does not work a trip to small claims court may be what you should do. It costs to replace trees and that is what they might order him to do.
When I moved in here, 1 panel was missing from my fence. The company I hired to replace it went to each of the neighbors in the back to ask if it was ok.
That is how things are done here.

Well, the other night I went outside to see my neighbor putting in shrubs. I was thankful he only had one and mentioned that I was waiting for him to put the fence up so that we could put ours up, then I can get the rest of the pots in the ground. I mentioned what we were doing, making a retaining wall around the driveway & property and it would either happen in the fall or next spring. He never mentioned a word about anything bothering him. I told him I was doing my nest to get stuff in the ground and that we were going to buy a shed for everything in the back yard but the ground isn't level and until we can identify those spots and fill them, we couldn't get the shed for fear of water getting into it..

This morning, I go out and see there are 5 of these bushes & I'm freaking out. If he's going to plant them, I can't plant my roses anywhere near that side of the house, they will get choked by the roots. I have the phone book opened for a surveyor and will call a fence guy today too. I'm going to beg him not to put those shrubs in. I'm going to cry...

All he had to do was say something if he didn't like the boat (bass) on that side of the house. I would have had a fence up already.
