they also have the didonato family fun center. we went there around christmas time. we also went to a local italian restaurant that actually was really good.

interesting drive to get there. kind of feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. maybe a friday the 13th situation since there appeared to be a lot of camp grounds there. i dont really know what a camp ground is but i assume its a place ripe for horror movie style murders.

Yes, my fiancé is forbidden from going there, cause he spends $200 every time he goes. We really don’t need 7 flavors of cheese, lol. Hammonton also has several pasta/ravioli factories. I think Conte is open to the public, they are sold in area supermarkets as well. Gardella’s has awesome homemade ravioli (fresh or frozen) and excellent homemade meatballs. Several Italian bakeries too. Cacia’s has been there for 66 years. They make blueberry cannolis in summer that are yummy. Italian (Sicilian) farmers settled the town, starting with one in the 1870’s who then wrote home and called for other farmers to come buy land there, and they still own and operate many of the farms.

Our favorite Italian restaurants isn’t in Hammonton but maybe 10 minutes away in Chisulhurst called Graziano’s.

I don’t recall campgrounds in the town itself. I find it quite charming, both the downtown and the beautiful farms, but especially a lot of the tree-shaded homes, porches and rocking chairs etc. it’s really quite lovely, I don’t recall anything horror-movie like myself.

Unless things have changed recently, there are probably still a lot of Italians in Nutley.

A little outdated. It’s now number two. Apparently Fairfield, which is just over 50% Italian, is the most Italian town by percentage in the entire United States.

Good to know. I wonder if more moved into Fairfield or more moved out of (or died) of Hammonton. Does Fairfield have a lot of Italian businesses too?
