And yes, we live in an old victorian home.
Alex, if it continues speak to your vet. he may prescribe something for her anxiety until she gets used to her new surroundings. I would also worry about her getting hit by a car if she continues to be an escape artist.

This is all new for her, she is confused and maybe a litle scared..

It took weeks! Good thing was, she's a teacher so being home in the summer made a huge difference! Any room in the basement or garage for her? Someplace where she can't escape???

Ahhh...yes Alex - call your vet. My pal had to put the pitbull on anti-anxiety pills and this is what stopped him from escaping!!

At another forum I go to, there is one gal that uses a clicker to train dogs and deal with problems like this. I should be able to find the post if you want to read it. Someone else adopted a dog that had issues, there was a lot of great advice in the post

DW is taking her to the Vet today to have her checked out, we're going to mention the separation anxiety and see what they recommend. There's not that much car traffic on my street but I'm more worried of someone confusing her anxiety w/ aggression or worse her attacking a kid or someone. Other than her escapades she's been nothing but fun.
