Even easier.... if we base on the idea that the IRS collected $248.6 billion in taxpayer money for FY 2007, we should be granted 2 tax free years. It'll still cost less, and workers keep their money.

I'm worried about the homeowners. I have seen nor heard nothing regarding what kind of help they will get. I know a lot of people don't want to bail out the homeowner, but the banks are just as much to blame, if not more. A lot of first time buyers were approved for more than they could afford, and just didn't realize it. A lot of homeowners experienced hardships when the mortgage companies wouldn't work it out with them. Not all homeowners were greedy and borrowed out of their means. Most just got screwed. Not too mention the numerous amount of homeowners can't afford their mortgages because of the turn in the economy - job loss, higher commuting costs, higher food costs. It all adds up. This may have started with bad borrowers, but it is now affecting everyone.
