This rally might be short lived. Will be interesting to see what unfolds today as the goons in Warsh-ington try to pool all their gray matter together to save us common folk.
On that note, at 9AM I will be out of most everything I had my money in, except for some geothermal energy stocks.
I'm seriously thinking of starting to sock money away using some other means like buying gold and silver and burying it in the yard I'm a young guy so I have no qualms about keeping my retirement invested in stocks, but as the years go on I'd like to not depend on a bank or a stock. Anybody stockpiling precious metals out there?

Not metals themselves, but a good chunk of my cash went into precious metals in about 2005. Just shifted it around more recently, a little before the dollar took its major nosedive, buying some foreign markets, and now I'm going to be shifting back into the US market. This is by way of the 401k.
With my personal investment account, I've done just about the same thing, though with more flexibility (since 401k's suck for that - but the company gives a great match, so I can't argue with free money). I've got a good chunk of my investment cash overseas right now, though I've left China - I still think its going to explode, and in a bad way.
LOL - loaded title... people seeing LARGE Japanese Monsters, BIG trucks. ETC lol
