Hello, I was wondering if anyone can help me. Me and my wife are looking to purchase a home in Tinton Falls, NJ and I am wondering what the commute is like to Midtown Manhattan. Is the commute long? Expensive? Is it by train or bus? Thank you in advance.

Define "long" and "expensive". My BIL takes a bus from Marlboro to the Port Authority terminal, and it can range anywhere from 1.5-2+ hours door to door depending on traffic/weather. I believe the cost os somewhere in the $300/month range. The commute from Tinton Falls will be approximately the same, perhaps a little longer.

I am currently live in Manalapan and i commute to NYC using the NJ Transit bus and it only take me 50 minutes in the morning and and hour in the afternoon to get home. I do leave early and get a 530 am bus to the Port Authority and a 330 pm bus home in the afternoon. If you leave after 630 youre in for a long ride. But before that rime you are looking at little under an hour.
