We moved to Freehold recently and need to find a new pediatrician in the area (Freehold, Marlboro, Manalapan). Does anyone know of a good pediatrician with a nice staff (staff is so important!) I thought I found a good office but after they made a scheduling mistake they were quite snooty about it. First impression is everything so I need another referral.... please???

Can't recommend but will say I've run into the problem a lot.
Eastern Dental in Toms River is the worst with screwing up appointments.
Not exactly sure what they do, whether they are not hitting submit when in the appointment schedule or if they just go in and clear out appointments without calling but it's happened to me at least 5 times in a 1 year period.
I've driven the 30 minutes to my appointment only to be told that I canceled it. The one lady there argued with me last time, pretty much calling me a liar. I refuse to go back to have my work finished and will go elsewhere.
I've had random issues with other doctors due to new help, but having a card with the appointment hand printed on it, is usually enough for the staff to know who messed up.

We're in Marlboro, but our ped. is in Old Bridge. If you want the name, just send a PM.

Hello, I use Dr. Hirsh and Dr. Levy in Manapalan. Always busy but they are very good.
The only problem like I said is, they are busy and sometimes the wait can be long.
Good luck.

I've got a great one in Bernardsville - too far to travel, but good doctors and great staff usually know of other good offices. Reach out to me if you want me to ask them - I'd be happy to do it.

Just pick one that is in your plan and is in a convenient location and check the hours (I like to have one that has evening hours).
Nothing personal, but I don't understand all the fuss over picking a ped. They are all certified etc. If you don't like them, you can always switch.

It's simple. You don't want to have to switch. If you get it right the first time, you won't have to go through the aggravation of the switch, and, most importantly, your children won't have to go through a possible bad experience with a doctor that could have been avoided.

So you trust random people on a message board to make that decision for you? Makes no sense.
Plus, it's so individual, just because someone likes or doesn't like a doctor, doesn't mean you will. Same for teachers I've learned.
I feel like it's just another form of overparenting in our society. It's really not that complicated of a decision, especially if your child doesn't have any special needs.
