my stupid engine light is ON for oxygen sensor problem. Will i have a chance to pass? it is a $1500 car and i'm in no mood to spend hundreds of dollars on it.

I read somewhere that if your engine light is on, thats an automatic failure but thank god never had to test this theory out yet

yes, this is correct. here's what you do..disconnect the battery for a few minutes, and reconnect. it will take awhile (days) for the light to come back on. then get thee to the inspection station.

you didn't hear it from me.

tahiti - i read that somewhere but apparently the inspection machines are smart enough to detect that and will ask us to come back.
