I know homes are very expensive there, will $400-500K range get me anything decent? I need a 3BD, preferably house. How is the neighborhood there? The people? I know the schools are good, which is very important to me. Also, i see the Asian population is about 12% there - is it a diversified Asian population? How is the community? etc....
Currently we are planning to relocate to central NJ for my husband's job and this was the only area that I seemed to like by researching. We will be going out there this weekend to check the area out. I've been a New Yorker my entire life, so i have idea about any part of NJ. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
Your probably not going to find a great house for that money, however Basking Ridge is one of the nicest communities in Somerset County and we all know or we should know that location is the most important thing to consider when buying a home. If you can find a house that needs some updating for 4-500k and you invest in Basking Ridge you will be better off than buying a nicer house in a less desirable comminity.
