For those of you in Weehawken, Hoboken, parts of Jersey City, Union City, and W. NY, your water is probably brown. Something happened in Little Falls to cause this and it's been like this all day. United Water said it's safe to drink. Maybe tonight United Water will throw all of us a "Dirty Water Wednesday" beer bash, so we can party like it's 1294.

Old pipes, too many people, showering in chocolate milk. Awesome.

Actually had a bit of this last week in Mahwah -- Thursday or Friday. I don't remember. Water company said "something happened in the line" and that if you run the water for a while, it should clear out the line. They had a person in the area so they stopped by. They looked around outside -- at what I don't know, LOL -- and then they came in and ran the water from various faucets, showers, tubs, etc.

The person pretty much said the same thing. Later that day it was fine.

When I lived in Hoboken a thousand years ago a truck would go up and down the streets with a bullhorn shouting "Boil your water!"

I felt like I was in a Monty Python movie set in plague times. "Bring out your dead!"
