I'm plannin to go on black friday shopping with my boys after thanksgiving and I'm deciding WHICH mall we should go to. I've been to both and personally, I like both. Palisades is 25 minutes away, GSP is 20 min away so both are not that far away from where I live. Since I'm going on black friday, I know of course that both malls are going to be packed. But which mall do you guys recommend going on that day? I have a feeling Palisades will be more packed since it's like the biggest mall in the tri state area. Please help.

I would go to Palisades because GSP will be even more packed due to the fact that they don't open on Sundays

Actually go to Paramus Park Mall Instead because parking at both GSP, and Pal are horrendous even when it is not black friday

I also hear that the Woodbury Commons is open 24-hours during that weekend

You do not really need to go to a mega mall for christmas shopping unless you want your kids to experience what it would feel like

I agree with Raven - I would not be caught dead in a store that day outside of maybe Stop & Shop!

I agree w/ NJChutzpah - Paramus Park will be the least zoo-like, but it does not have as many stores.

I have a feeling the retailers are going to be HURTING this season so there will be lots of teasers. That said, I'm a big fan of the internet - ship it to me!

I'm looking forward to seeing what all of the black friday sales are going to be - not that we can really afford to get anything... but...

Last year I did black friday so I could buy tools and such for the house at a nice low price

This year, as you mentioned, they are going to be hurting....

Which is why I'm doing it this year. I'm going to try and do all my christmas shopping not being done online, and maybe a few things for myself. I'm hoping for some great deals
