I'm wondering if that's the case w/ Aldi's too because I did not like Linden but I've heard about others that people swear by. The Food Basics in N Bergen is really nice and you can get some super duper deals. The one in Wallington, you want to bring a flashlight to see the lighting is so poor and place so dingy.
lol you know it's bad then the roaches offer to carry you and your groceries out to your car for free.

The ShopRite in Middletown is almost as nice as a Wegman's. I'm lucky because there are a lot of different supermarkets close by. Where I moved from the shopping was terrible and there were really no sales. I can't believe how much I save with all of the sales in the different markets.

We have a Wegmans nearby but they can't compare to Central Market (in TX). That was BY FAR the best grocery store ever. Like a Whole Foods but their produce was so FAR AND AWAY better than anywhere I have ever seen. I wish they would open up on East Coast.

They just opened on on Rt. 35 in Hazlet and there's one in Linden. Also, one on one of the main roads in Toms River.

I totally agree with you. Seems like we are neighbors.

We are lucky to have so many options in this area. I do with the Wegmans was closer though. I go to the one in Woodbridge since it's close to my job. The other is out of the way on Rt. 9.
Do you know of any closer that I'm missing?

I don't know what ShopRite it was, but when I was vacationing in Pt. Pleasant it was right by there, but not in Pt. Pleasant, and I LOVED it. LOVED it.

i would kill for wegman's. as far as a&p and shoprite, i was loyal shoprite until they pissed me off. i switched to a&p and was PLEASANTLY surprised to find out I spend less. I would've bet every last penny they were more expensive. bottom line, their sales are better than SR, and if you basically only shop sales like me, you'll do better with a&p than shoprite. (i have the spreadsheet with savings in raw numbers and percentages as proof, lol)
