Don't forget Raeford, NC.

Skinners Eddy, PA. Truthfully, I don't know if there's even a motel there. I do know that I've traveled some back roads in Pa and stopped at places where a bush looked better than the bathroom and the car better that the room for rent.

Somewhere outside of Warrenton, VA. I don't know, it was late and dark.

We stayed in a motel East of Oklahoma City that had something, maybe mice, running in the ceiling and the pillows were so bad that we got the pillows we had in the car and used them. The final straw was when a bug crawled out of the bathtub drain. We got out of there so fast that we forgot and left our pillows. Most motels we had stayed at would have mailed them to us but not this place. No wonder they made us pay the night before. Little clue there!

We were a captive audience because there were no other motels within miles and we were really tired.

I came from humble beginnings, but my husband turned me into a true dive mistress. Of course, he'd fall asleep and I'd be dozing in the chair watching for bugs! lol

The place outside of Warrenton had dozens of what looked like baby slugs on the carpeting. I pulled the table away from the wall so that I eat my takeout while I watched TV and it fell over because it was broken!

Ah, the good old days.

I Used to stay in those motels when I was in my twentys. Now, I'll only stay in a chain like Hilton's or Marriotts brands. I like their brands that offer a free breakfast. They also have great beds. I don't need a fancy lobby with Conceige, etc. I like Hampton Inn's, Homewood Suites, Embassey Suites, etc.
Homewood Suites by Hilton, And Residence Inn by Marriot, off free Hot breakfast everyday, and Free Light dinner, M-thurs.
Also its good to join their clubs free, for future free nights.
