Wow, I've never had a welcome like this! Thank you.

Yes, NewHomeHappy, I am relatively familiar with the Cream Ridge area. Our primary veterinarian is Dr. Patty Hogan at Fair Winds Farm (?) in Cream Ridge and our two foster farms are in Cookstown and Jobstown. We also hold our annual charity horse show at the Horse Park of NJ, in Allentown. Is that the one you are referring to?

Unfortunately, I don't "get up with the horses". I live in East Windsor. Maybe someday I'll have some horses of my own. For now, I'm happy visiting with the ReRun horses.

And someone mentioned us taking care of the "old horses". I wish that were true, but the average age of the horses that come into our program right off the track is about 5--and they live to be about 30 yrs. of age!

Thank you all, again, for the very warm welcome. I can see this crowd is a rowdy bunch. I like that!

Welcome to the forum and welcome back to NJ...I don't drink much so have a Taylor ham and cheese on me.

If I had a farm, my daughter would love a horse. Too bad I'm just an impoverished teacher.

Do they look for people to adpt these horses or adopt them? I'm asking because my sister-in-law is looking to get a horse. She lives in Flemington and currently leases one. She LOVES horses and now that her daughter's wedding is over, she and my brother are going to buy one. I'm sure they would like to adopt as they have adopted all their animals so far. Please let me know.
