So not true. As long as you don't eat 9,000 grams of carbs a day and then sit around like a lump.

I eat tons of carbs and work out at least every other day. No problem here.

Yup, all that energy has to get used up or it gets stored. Just start taking that little dog for long walks

All of my "staples" are CARBS!!!

Beer = CARBS
Bread = CARBS
Cookies = CARBS
and did I mention Beer = Carbs???

I'm thinking weight watchers is the way to go... I use to use my extra points at the end of the day to have a beer... a beer is ONLY 2 points : )))

I lost 60 lbs a few years back.
No fancy diets.
No prepackaged foods.
I cut out red meat, ate five small meals per day, counted calories and fat grams AND WORKED OUT AT THE GYM FIVE DAYS PER WEEK.

Exercise is the key.

I did modified atkins and lost about 50lbs. The cravings got so bad I ate a pound of pasta when I finally fell off the wagon. I need my carbs. One good thing is I think I finally qualify for my own zip code.

to be honest I have been on a low carb diet for over 3 years. I cheat once in awhile but overall it very low carb most of the time. Mom is type 2 diabetic, sister is type 2 diabetic blind and needs a kidney, grandfather was type 2 diabetic. I did all the reasearch, and have never felt better on alow carb diet. Lots of meat and veggies and very high fat. My chol. was just tested and never been better!! I was a heavy weight lifter until I broke my back and stayed with the low carb diet. I feel lousy when I overdo the carbs. I love to cook but really dont eat alot of what I cook unless its low carb. When I go off low carb, I want to eat all day long.
