I get your point, American's electing Obama still has not changed their views of how they feel towards us. They hate us, will always hate us and will try very hard to get us!! Obama or not, we better have a tough leader!!! There out there and planning another one again. Its just a matter of time. We will see how strong Obama really is to handle another US terror attack. Hopefully it wont happen and they will test Obama to see how strong and what he does. This is how they operate, we need a strong military and to cut this part of the budget is plain old crazy. I don't think this is an Obama problem however but I am interested and I am sure the terrorists are to see how strong he is!

Very sad. I've stayed at the Taj and it was a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location, right by the sea.

Terrorist attacks can happen in Muslim countries like Turkey and Iraq, even on their own people.
Ten years ago Chinese in Indonesia were mobbed by Muslim and young girls were gang raped by the mob. Terrorist attacks also happen in Phillipines, Africa, South America, China...just about anywhere in the world...

It's like robbery - you don't have to be rich to be robbed. Just about ANYBODY can be the target of terrorist attacks, not just American/British. There are bad people who love to do bad things, no matter what religion/culture they have (or have no religion like Timothy McVain, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, the anthrax scientist...). Obama or not, these stuffs are likely to go on and on...

Prayers and thoughts for Mumbai.

You are correct. We have become complacent, which is only natural. We need to be vigilant all the time. Terrorists are very patient and it takes years to plan these attacks. Don't let your guard down and if it looks suspicious or out of place, report it immediately.

They have. Maybe you don't know it, but there was a Bomb threat at least once a month in the Holland Tunnel after 9/11 . I don't know if it continues now since we have been gone almost 2 1/2 years now.

Hi Diane - I haven't heard much in the way of those threats in quite awhile. The port authority police will be asleep at the switch or just miss some suicide "nut" with bombs in their vehicle (that's all it would take) to blow up once inside there - then OHHHHHH BOY!

I was in the 1993 attack at the WTC.I worked in the South tower on the 35th floor.... Scared the bejesus out of me.

Back then, they were saying the tunnels would be bombed. Even though I was scared out of my wits, I could NEVER imagine what was to come 9/11/01.
