Hi
What can you tell me about living in Metuchen? Neighborhoods? Walkable downtown area? Schools? Areas to stay away from? How is the traffic?
My husband is commuting to New Brunswick.
Thank you
Cathy

metuchen would be a great place to live, it's a small town, just avoid the area near 287 where the apartments are and you should be ok. the roads are congested so stay away from buying on any road with double yellow stripes. the downtown has usable stores and is walkable. the only negative is the the train line in metuchen doesn't connect with new brunswick.
you'll need to visit and see exactly what the town has to offer.

Metuchen is on the same NE Corridor line as New Brunswick. In fact, it's only two stops away (about an 8 minute train ride).

As Kort said, Metuchen has some very nice areas, and the schools are rated pretty well. Be prepared for some pretty high home prices and high taxes though (but that can be said for any nice part of central NJ....).
