I actually graduated HS with his sister but I grew up with Director Kevin Smith. We are both from Highlands.

I went to elementary school with Samm Levine from Freaks and Geeks

Too bad that show was cancelled

He was one grade above me, but we were on the same school bus going home, and picked on by the same kid on that bus

Disclaimer

now this was a long time ago so maybe I am wrong

Samm did grow up in fort lee, and I am pretty sure he is the only one who looks like him, so I am assuming he is the same sam that I knew

How famous are we talking here?

I went to school with Susan Woods - who's been Sandy in Grease on Broadway and a guest star on a bunch of tv shows. Marc Acito, who's a published author and syndicated columnist. Andrew McCarthy lived in my town growing up, but I didn't know him

The closest I can come is that I did theatre with Lou Taylor Pucci - who was Frederick in the last incarnation of The Sound of Music on broadway, and has been in a handful of movies - I think the most "known" one was "Thumbsucker", which also had Vincent D'Onofrio, and "Fifty Pills" with Kristin Bell.

Here's his IMDB page:

Lou Taylor Pucci

His first foray into theatre was also my first foray into theatre - but he's gone a lot further than I have.

I went to Freehold Boro where Bruce Springsteen went, but I am not even close to his age. However, he did come into the HS one day to visit and signed autographs. My teacher got one because he ran out of the classroom when they announced Springsteen was in the building.

Default high school

Knew Bob Hedges casually from Welcome back Kotter, went to JFK in Iselin, transferred, I believe in his senior year to some school south of the Raritan.

At RU Bob Werblin.

Heidi Bohay went to my HS, a few years older than me. She played in the old
TV show, Hotel.

Funny, the drama teacher told her she didn't have a lick of talent.
