funny its not my taste either but something is drawing me to this piece!!! I cant stop going back to it for some reason. Strange huh???

I don't like the colors of the glass. I'd pass. I'm a fan of Art Deco. The piece would look nice if the glass had a golden hue.

When someone keeps bidding within seconds of each bid, it looks like that person is bidding to jack up the price. . .shill bidding. I would have backed out, because of how one bidder was bidding on the lamp. (It use to be easier to detect shill bidding, when the actual bidder i.d. was shown.)

Don't bid him up again. Do nothing until a few minutes before the auction expiration time. The closer to the deadline you can get in your bid, the less chance of someone else beating it.

Of course, some people have written little applets & macros that will put in a bid $.50 above the last one, 3 seconds before the end. Those you can't beat if they are willing to spend more than you.
