Just want to seek some advice about Somerville, NJ. Me and my fiancee visited a friend over there and we thought the community was good and the houses are not that expensive. We wanted to know if the school system is good, safety issues, etc....???
Or if there are better communities around Somerset County taking into consideration the schools, affordability, etc...
Actually taxes are lower in Bridgewater. The difference between the two is that Bridgewater is a township that is spread out and has large acre/per house. If you like a more suburban feel you would like Bridgewater. Somerville is a great town. There are some sections that are historic and have beautifull architecture and it is diverse in its population. It also boast of a main street w/great restraunts and antique stores. The schools are just as good as Bridgewater and have Branchburg student that are bussed to Somerville HS. Basically they are both good towns, it is up to you which type you like best. There are also plenty of websights that offer statistics about school and their report cards. I live in Bridgewater and if you need anything else, let me know.
