Take care of yourself & we'll chat soon ! As for the location relevant to Bordentown. It's not very far. Route 130 is accessable through Allentown by two main roads (can't recall the names right now) Bordentown is a skip down Rt 130 from Allentown/Cream Ridge/ New Egypt. I hope this helps.
Did they change the name of the Winery? There was a Creamridge Winery that I sometimes used to go to.

Is it hard to get up to the Bordentown/Trenton area from there? That is where my family lives. Found two houses that look pretty decent just outside town so probably worth a drive by. I appreciate all comments!
Rt. 528 goes from New Egypt up to Bordentown.

MapQuest Maps:

If you like a wider, flatter road, you can drive west over to Rt. 68 and take that north to Bordentown.

Wow, you hit it right on the head! So many people I talk to really don't understand RSD and CFS (also known as Myalgia encephalomyelitis) There are some events that I plan for on a sporadic basis even though I know it will mean days of recovery. Going to Monster Mania in Cherry Hill means 2 weeks recovery but hey, have to have some fun in life. Family events I also plan for but having to combat traffic just to go to a supermarket would really do me in. Unless I buy a truckload of stuff at a time!

I do plan to keep my pain specialist in Marlton because he is one of the best in a specialty that has too few docs in it as it is He's worth the exhaustion. Otherwise, I'll play it by ear; I mean, car.

Wineries sound great but I can't drink due to the meds I take. Now my hubby--that's a different story I'm sure he would appreciate the tasting rooms of some of the local facilities.

I used to live in Millstone Twp. From what I remember, you didn't get much for the high taxes: no police, no library, no [free] trash pick up, no [free] bulk pick up, no public water, and no sewer. I remember a house that got hit by lightening and it was on the other side of the road from the firehouse; the house burnt down. Hospitals are too far for emergencies. It's a pretty area, but not much else.

There is no traffic in New Egypt. There is a grocery store in town. Wishing you the best of luck with whatever you decide.

Haven't been out that way in years. Any thoughts, suggestions etc. would be most appreciated.
New Egypt will be affected by the new building of the megabase (Ft-Dix-Mcguire AFB-Lakehurst Naval). So there are some supermarkets and shops that are currently in development to be built in Wrightstown, not far from New Egypt. I also understand that there have been auctions on recent farmlands surrounding the megabase? The town is trying to keep out developers and sell only to folks who will presere the land. Burlington County was recently awarded over $1 million to preserve the lands within a 2 mi radius around the megabase so there should be limited development.

However, alot more military personnel are planning to be in the area, so if you're looking to buy, this is a good time to do it.

I live in the area and have only been out to New Egypt a few times. I think it's great--the old historic buildings and small shops and lots of space. I like the flea market, a little strange and seems like something out of the 1930s but a great place for bargains.

Default Thanks!

Funny, my husband applied for an LPN position that is on McGuire AFB. It is supposed to be for one year but who knows? He doesn't think he got it, though.

However, after reading your post it makes me think it is a sign of things to come. You are right, the area is set for a boom, but finding a decent job in this economy is very hard. Even Temple laid off something like 1100 nurses.

i have lived in new egypt for about 7 or so years, after moving down from north jersey. i really like new egypt. there is no traffic, and yes, all your basic necessities can be met within town, bagels, new egypt marketplace...wow, we even have a baseball field!!! its a small town, where a lot of people do know a lot of people, but its nice. there is 1 primary school, 1 elem, 1 middle school and 1 high school, so its nice that the kids go through school together. i have a son who is leaving the primary school in the fall. i loved the primary school. ill see how things go once he begins elementary school, but i havent heard too many bad things about it. hamilton has built up quite a bit, and everything you need -shoprite, home depot, target, walmart, modells, etc. is within a 20 min ride in either direction...you have hamilton to the west and howell to the east. point pleasant beach is 40 mins, belmar is 30, long beach island about 45-50. it really is a nice place to live. there is some kind of regulation set in place where home lots cant be less than an acre, or something like that. there are nice homes. i love where i live, and its going to be super difficult to find a beautiful, quiet road within a nice development-where i have an acre, surrounded by woods to give me privacy from my neighbors-should i have to move. new egypt really cant get any more built up than it is...and its not built up at all, and who needs it, when everything is within a 20 mins ride? id never want to move back up to congested north jersey ever again!!

Great post. I put a bid on a house in the area recently. Its a short sale so i have to wait to hear back from the bank. I love the area.I love the fact that there is no congestion and all the farmland and open space.
