March 7th Rt 80 Commute (Montclair, Morristown: train station, office, radio)

Where were you on this day. How many of us sat in traffic to get to work.

Mine was 4 hrs 6:30 to 10:30
Deleware Water Gap to Parsippany

1 hour 40 minutes, Montclair to Morristown via 280/80/287. I fared much better than many of my co-workers. I felt bad for people going east on 280. Nonstop gridlock from Exit 7 back to Rt 80.

I guess i should add for comparison, how long the commute usually takes. For example mine should've been 1 hr 10min on a normal day.

Let's see...drove to the train station. Got a good, but not primo, parking spot. Picked up a newspaper. Hopped on the train. Read the paper. Hopped off the train. Walked across the street to my office. Twenty miles in fifty minutes. About average.

What caused the traffic jams? Was there a big crash?

Actually 4 on rt 80, something close to 20 overall in NJ

287 had 2
all what i heard on radio while in traffic
