Either a restaurant (nothing fancy) or take-out in the Woodbridge area, preferably on Oak Tree Rd. I do drink Chai which is very good and I do like spicy. Thanks in advance.

I'm not a fan of Indian food but I know many people who enjoy The Chowpatty on Oak Tree Road in Iselin. I just pulled up their website and it looks very nice.

There are a few on Oak Tree, one in the Pathmark shopping center and two in the Oak/Wood Shopping center.

Thanks for your help, anymore suggestions are welcomed. I guess it helps if the place caters to everyone or is Americanized so you can get familiar with the dishes and know what they contain. I was in one place few years back and didn't know what I was ordering. Chowpatty looks good!!!!

I lived in Iselin for 8 years, and for the first 6 I'd never ventured into any of the Indian restaurants because I didn't know the food, and didn't know which places were good or bad. Finally an Indian friend from work took me to lunch at the Taj Majal buffet. I can't really comment on whether it was "great Indian food" because I have nothing to compare it to, but it was pretty good food. Reminded me of a $6.99 all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet kind of setup.

Go to Mughal, in the pathmark shopping area. Its the only decent one in the area. There are plenty of good ones in the city though if you commute there to work

^ I think you meant Moghul?

I went to Moghul in the Pathmark shopping center 10 years ago for their lunch buffet. It was pretty decent at the time. I tried a few things that I did like. According to the site I am linking, it does not have good things to say about it now.
Here's a site to check out

I was around the area today on Oaktree and went to the grocery store. I was looking around at places to eat and as I figured, the menus seem to be for locals who know what the food is. Although I like a lot of foods, I like to know what I'm eating and how to say it....LOL. I only know Samosa and like them. Maybe I should try a buffet, but if I like something, it's hard to remember the names.

Rasoi on Oak Tree. It's way better than any of the other places mentioned, and I've been to them all (many times lol).

ETA: It's in Edison though. But still on Oak Tree Road.
