Hey All,
I am moving into a new apartment complex on 140 Mayhill Street, Saddlebrook. I work in New York City and would like to know what the best way to commute from here is. Also please let me know the closest park and ride, and if they have any openings? Thanks in advance.

as lucky lady mentioned, there is a train station about 1/2 mile south of rt. 46 on midland avenue, right on the border of garfield and saddle brook. the train station is called plauderville and is a stop along nj transit's bergen county line. you can take this train all the way to hoboken and then switch to the PATH or a ferry to get to midtown or downtown, or you can get off one station earlier in secaucus and switch to a train to penn station in midtown.

unless things have changed recently, the plauderville station has free parking for commuters that is first-come, first-serve. i have no idea how early you have to get to the station to grab a spot, but i would imagine no later than 7 or 7:15am.

there are also a number of buses to midtown manhattan from saddle brook. consult nj transit's website for the schedules of these buses.
