Of course. I did not say anything to the contrary. I was just wondering about the fuel. A big concern is pollution of the river. I personally don't care I was just wondering why they did not dam the floating fuel. The hazmat team usually goes in to take care of that

I'm sure they pumped out the tank(s). Besides..gasoline sinks! Oil floats.

hats off them them..
You are 100% correct!

My husband (also a pilot who graduated from the Air Force Academy) is absolutely amazed at what this pilot was able to do. He made split second decisions that saved everyone's lives on that plane.

My hubby can't stop telling me how absolutely difficult pulling that off was.

Kudo Kudos Kudos to Capt.Sullenberger!!!~ HERO!!!!!

Those geese had every right to be flying around as that plane

and yes I am concerned, those geese were helpless as that huge plane came rumbling through

liken it to you walking down a street and then this big freight truck comes speeding down the road

and least that freight truck has headlights, and a horn, it can warn you

Engineers should put some kind of detection, or deterrent device on the planes that will scare birds off for miles around

That way this problem will not ever occur

I'd imagine they want to salvage the plane because it's costly equipment to replace. Probably just needs some engine repair drying and new airline snacks.
