most 401k's are managed by third-party vendors (like Fidelity). even if it is not, this is a merger not a liquidation. so, after the merger your account will be actively manager by Pfizer in stead of Wyeth - should makes no difference to you as an account holder. i am sure you will get a bunch of mails/emails on this change of hands and how it impacts you.
